In association with TIKA, project studies targeting development of tourism activities in Zambia and transfer of the experience in this field are being performed.
Theoretical and practical trainings devoted to the tourism students with an intention to make up shortage of qualified personnel in tourism and accommodation sector, to upgrade quality of schools of tourism and to contribute to the training of required trainers that would give education in those schools in Zambia were provided. Within the scope of the program, –on matters such as services of kitchen, front office and housekeeping– trainers were provided opportunity to get education in vocational school workshop and make observations in a 5-star hotel. For Tourism Trainers, several visits were also made to the Association of Turkish Travel Agency, Antalya University Faculty of Tourism and some travel agencies.
Zambian committee, expressing their appreciation of tourism training and internship program carried out in Antalya which is one of the most important tourism cities in Turkey, demanded the cooperation among Turkey and Zambia must go on and get stronger.
Following the conclusion of the program, a ceremony was held and participants were awarded their certificates by Mr. Fatih Kocabaş who is District Governor of Muratpaşa.
